Police are searching for a pair of men wanted in connection with a string of armed robberies in Oct. 2019 in Austin on the West Side.

Chicago police are searching for two men wanted in connection with four armed robberies reported in October in Austin on the West Side.

In each incident a pair of men wearing hooded sweatshirts approach a lone victim, pull out firearms, announce a robbery and threaten to shoot the victim before taking their belongings, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

These robberies happened:

  • About 3:50 p.m. Oct. 2 in the 5000 block of West Madison Street;
  • About 8:15 p.m. Oct. 12 in the 100 block of South Cicero Avenue;
  • About 12:45 p.m. Oct. 13 in the 100 block of North Laramie Avenue; and
  • About 2:10 a.m. Oct. 17 in the 4700 block of West Jackson Boulevard.
