A 45-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday in south suburban Olympia Fields.

The crash happened about 1:20 a.m. at US Route 30 and Western Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The man was pronounced dead at Saint James Hospital, the medical examiner’s office said. He was identified as Douglas Hawthorne, of Chicago Heights.

Autopsy results found he died from injuries caused by a motorcyclist struck by a vehicle, the medical examiner’s office said.

Olympia Fields police didn’t immediately respond to a request for details about the incident.
