Police are warning residents about a series of strong-arm robberies in June 2019 in Lake View and Wrigleyville.

Police are warning residents about a series of strong-arm robberies over the past week in Lake View and Wrigleyville on the North Side.

In each case, two or three people approached victims who were walking alone, threatened to beat them and took their property, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The hold-ups occurred:

  • About midnight June 8 in the 4000 block of North Southport Avenue;
  • About 1 a.m. June 6 in the 3600 block of North Clark Street; and
  • About midnight June 5 in the 3400 block of North Clark.

The suspects were described as two or three men between 20 and 25 years old, police said.
