Update, 2:15 p.m.: The Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Montgomery County has expired.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northwest Montgomery County.

At 1:50 p.m., NWS issued the warning, effective through 2:15 p.m.

The storm was moving west at 10 mph, with 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

“Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees,” NWS reported.

This includes Interstate 24 between mile markers 3 and 8.

“Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways,” NWS said.
