Eighteen new coronavirus cases were reported in 10 Wyoming counties on Saturday, raising the number of cases confirmed in the state since the illness was first detected in March to 559.
The Wyoming Department of Health, in its daily coronavirus update, said five new cases were detected in Fremont County, pushing the county’s total number cases to 202. Laramie and Natrona counties each reported three new cases, while Albany, Carbon, Hot Springs, Sweetwater, Teton and Uinta counties each reported one.
As of Saturday afternoon, Fremont County had 202 cases; Laramie had 119; Teton had 69; Natrona had 43; Campbell and Sweetwater had 16; Converse had 14; Johnson and Lincoln had 11; Albany had nine; Uinta had eight; Carbon had seven; Washakie had six; Crook had five; Goshen had four, and Big Horn and Hot Springs had two. Niobrara, Park and Sublette counties each had one case.
The number of probable cases in the state — cases where a person has not been tested for the disease but has been exposed to someone with a confirmed case and has symptoms of the disease — stood at 182.
The number of people to have recovered from the illness since it was first detected in the state went up by two to total 498. That includes 362 recoveries among people who had laboratory-confirmed cases and 136 among people with probable cases.
