Welcome to this week’s installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can buy for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at home sales at or around $225,000.

North Rosedale Park

A 2,646-square-foot home on Shaftsbury Avenue is listed with Craig Joeright of Howard Hannah for $214,500. This unique home has lots of striking details throughout, including the stone bay windows, landscaping, and half-timbering on the exterior. Inside, there’s bright crown molding, stucco walls, a huge fireplace in the living room, wide entryways, a kitchen with a passthrough and breakfast nook, and much more.

Rivertown

A 740-square-foot condo in Spinnaker Tower near the Riverwalk is listed with Matt O’Laughlin of Alexander Real Estate Detroit for $207,409. On the 16th floor of the tower, this one-bedroom unit offers great views of downtown. Residents also have access to swimming pools, tennis courts, a fitness center, 24-hour security, and a gated parking spot. HOA fees are $625 per month.

North End

A recently renovated, 1,334-square-foot unit in a duplex on Marston Street is listed with Austin Black II of City Living Detroit for $212,000. Built in 1911, this home features hardwood floors throughout, a new kitchen with quartz countertops and subway tile backsplash, and patches of exposed brick. It’s part of a series of home renovations and new-builds across several streets in the North End meant to add density.

Lafayette Park
