If you’re coming to Hart Plaza, get ready to settle in for a while. This is basically a front row seat, so bring your lawn chairs and get there early if you want to watch with thousands of your closest friends.

According to the city:

Hart Plaza will be open to the general public, but pedestrian set-ups and/or gatherings will not be permitted before 2 p.m. on June 24.  

Entry to Hart Plaza will be open until 9:30 p.m. or until capacity has been reached. There is no re-admittance once you leave.

Those entering Hart Plaza will be subject to security screening. Coolers and backpacks will be searched. No tents, alcohol, drones, pets, or contraband (weapons, knives, etc.) will be allowed. Flames or fires are prohibited, and cooking is prohibited. 

Woodward between Jefferson and Larned is closed to traffic. Take a seat here or further into the Esplanade for the evening. Update: The city is now saying that Spirit Plaza may be open and that “access is to be determined on the day of Fireworks.”

Get there early! Belle Isle always has some of the best views, and everyone knows it. Expect lots of traffic over on East Jefferson.

According to the city:

Belle Isle will be closed on June 24 until 2 p.m. At that time, the island will open to vehicular traffic. 

Motorists will need the Recreation Passport to enter the island. The passport, which is only needed for vehicles, may be purchased at the entrance for $11. The passport is $9 for out-of-state and international visitors for the day, and $32 for the year. 

Once island capacity is reached (3,000 vehicles), no additional vehicles will be admitted to the park. 

The Island will open at 5 a.m. to pedestrians and bicyclists. 

Alcohol consumption is prohibited on the island. 

Tents and canopies should be 10 feet by 10 feet or smaller with no more than two tents or canopies per group.

RV parking will be on the paddock area near the Casino. 

Consumer fireworks are prohibited on the island.

Located further down Jefferson, Owen Park and the nearby Erma Henderson Park will be open for viewing. You can see the fireworks over the MacArthur Bridge from here.

Ford Motor Company's Rooftop Party is at the Miller Parking Garage. It's $275 per person, so ... there's that. But it does come with food and drinks.

Joe Muer has a front row seat in the Ren Cen, with dinner included. It’s $150 per person, but comes with a five-course meal.

The downtown hotel is hosting a fireworks watch party on its Jefferson Avenue–facing patio. To attend, you have to be a guest at the hotel that night.

Looking for a slightly unconventional and free place to watch the fireworks? Then consider going to the Bagley Pedestrian Bridge over I-75. The views may not be quite as spectacular, but there’s also considerably less hassle.
