With the draft upcoming on Thursday, the Minnesota Timberwolves are holding many more workouts for prospects. Also, Karl-Anthony Towns talks about his style.

While the Minnesota Timberwolves only own the No. 11 and No. 43 picks in Thursday’s draft, they’re hosting several more draft picks in the week leading up to the big night.

Let’s take a spin through a few of the prospects they’ve been linked to of late, including a couple who would be candidates at No. 11 and some others that could be trade-back or second-round candidates.

Local hero Darren Wolfson continues to report on many of the meetings, including Indiana’s Romeo Langford, Nassir Little, and Sekou Doumbouya (see below).

Additionally, Gery Wolfel, who covers the Milwaukee Bucks, passes along a Wolves-related note.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that the Wolves are doing their due diligence related to draft prospects; it’s typical for a franchise to bring in dozens of players for workouts. But it is important to remember that they’ll bring in many players that they are potentially targeting at No. 11, as well as trade-back candidates and players who they’ll consider in the second round, and even potential additions to the summer league roster.

The Wolves have also had in a few players who are unlikely to still be on the board at No. 11, but there’s always the possibility that a player projected go higher ends up sliding for whatever reason.

We’ll have more draft coverage as the week wears on and we presumably prepare to learn more about new boss Gersson Rosas and what his philosophy and player acquisition process might look like.

Elsewhere, Karl-Anthony Towns continues to find himself in front of the camera pitching products and selling himself with his trademark style and smooth delivery.

Towns sat down to discuss his style, what it means to him, and what he wants it to portray. He also played the popular game of “What’s In Your Bag?”, revealing what he was hauling around in his backpack on this particular day.

Truthfully, it feels a bit more like mid-August content when we’re done with free agency and waiting around for training camp, but hey … KAT is out there being KAT.

Okay, it’s draft week. Time to gear up, Wolves fans.
