    Assam police arrests Abhimanyu Chouhan in connection with alleged links with Hizbul Mujahideen

    Director General of Police Kuladhar Saikia stated that police will compile database of youths working outside Assam.

    National Investigating Agency (NIA) and other intelligence agencies are probing the spread of Hizbul’s network in Assam.
    GUWAHATI: Assam police on Sunday arrested Abhimanyu Chouhan in connection with alleged links with terror outfit, Hizbul Mujahideen.
    Police has already arrested eight operatives of Hizbul Mujahideen. Chouhan a resident of Lumding was picked up from Mosoka Number 1 under Kheroni police station in KarbiAnglong.

    Director General of Police Kuladhar Saikia stated that police will compile database of youths working outside Assam.

    Saikia said, “We have asked the village headmen of the villages in Assam to collect the information regarding the youths of the village working outside. We are going to use the information to make a database and will monitor their activities through police and other agencies in different states.”

    National Investigating Agency (NIA) and other intelligence agencies are probing the spread of Hizbul’s network in Assam.
