BJP led government in Assam completes three years in office

GUWAHATI: With BJP led government completing three years in office in Assam, Chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that following support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and co-operation of the people of the state government has been able to unleash massive development activity.

BJP in parliamentary polls has won nine out of 14 seats which is two more than 2014 tally. Sonowal thanked the people of Assam belonging to Barak, Brahmaputra, hills and plains on the occasion of third anniversary of the BJP led government in the state.

Sonowal said that his government is working for all round development of all sections of the people of the state. Sonowal said that as a result of the special emphasis put by Narendra Modi for the development of the state a ray of hope has already been generated among the people of the state. “Special initiatives of the Central and State governments have led to the turnaround of communication, transportation, investment, industrialization and resultant socio-economic development of the state.”

Assuming the reign of governance in the back drop economic shambles, deteriorating law and order situation, it was the challenge for the new government however the government successfully facilitated expeditious economic development in the state, Sonowal said adding that because of the spontaneous and unconditional support of the people of Assam, a responsive and people oriented administration has been made possible in the state. He also thanked the people for extending all support for implementing schemes for the poor, backward, divyangjans, farmers and others in the society.
