PM Modi says that India and France enjoys an unbreakable tie
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that India and France enjoys an unbreakable tie.
"It is more than just friendship, it is years old...there wasn't any time or place, where we have not supported each other," Modi said while speaking to a gathering of Indians living in France at the UNESCO headquarter in France.

"Good friends help each other in all circumstances," Modi further added.

To emphasise the Indo-French ties, Modi said the French football team has perhaps more supporters in India than in France itself.

At the event, Modi also inaugurated memorial for the air crashes in Saint Gervais of France. "I salute all those including the great Indian nuclear physicist Homi Bhaba, who lost their lives in the two crashes( Air India plane crashes, in 1950 and 1966 in France's Saint Gervais)," Modi said.

Highlighting his government's achievements, Modi said his govt has achieved such goals which are earlier said to be unachievable.

India, he said, will achieve its 2030 climate goals in 1-2 years.

He said that India is in the forefront of start-ups and has discarded many unnecessary laws.

The prime minister also didn't miss a chance to attack the opposition saying: "In new India, the way in which action is being taken against corruption, nepotism, loot of people's money, terrorism, this has never happened before."

Amid loud cheers, he also said that his new government took a number of decisions like the formation of Jal Shakti within first 75 days and a law banning the inhuman Triple Talaq.

Modi also remembered the sacrifice of 9000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives during World War 1.

We have fought facism in India and France., said Modi. Liberty, equality and fraternity are common values to both India and France, the PM further added.
