    Major political parties of Arunachal Pradesh declared Chakat Aboh, wife of slain MLA as the consensus candidate

    Chief Minister Pema Khandu convened an all-party meeting which was attented by chiefs of political parties including BJP & Congress.

    GUWAHATI: Major political parties of Arunachal Pradesh declared Chakat Aboh, wife of slain MLA Tirong Aboh, the consensus candidate for the bye-election to the Khonsa West Assembly constituency in Tirap district.

    Chief Minister Pema Khandu convened an all-party meeting which was attented by chiefs of political parties including BJP, Congress, National Peoples party (NPP), People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) and JD (U).

    All the parties resolved to support Chakat Aboh as an independent candidate for the bye-election. On May 23 last NPP's MLA, Tirong Aboh from Khonsa West constituency along with 10 others were killed by suspected militants in Arunachal Pradesh.
