New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The number of coronavirus cases in Madhya Pradesh is on the rise. The state on Saturday reported 201 new cases to take the tally to 6,371 according to an official data. With nine new fatalities, the death in the central state has risen to 281. Meanwhile, 3,267 people have been cured.
Indore has reported the highest number of cases (2,933), followed by state capital Bhopal (1,191) and Ujjain (531).
Last week, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh reportedly said that the districts in Madhya Pradesh will only be divided into red and green zones. Thus orange districts can be treated as green districts. According to the latest report by The Times of India, Madhya Pradesh has 10 red, and remaining districts are in green zones. Here's the complete list:
Red zone
Indore, Bhopal, Neemuch, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Dhar, Dewas, Mandsaur.
Green zone
Vidisha, Tikamgarh, Sheopur, Shajapur, Shahdol, Sagar, Ratlam, Raisen, Agar Malwa, Alirajpur, Betul, Chhindwara, Dindori, Harda, Hoshangabad, Khargone, Morena, Anuppur, Ashok Nagar, Balaghat, Bhind, Chachaura Binaganj, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Datia, Guna, Jhabua, Katni, Maihar, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Niwari, Panna, Rajgarh, Rewa, Satna, Sehore, Seoni, Shivpuri, Sidhi, Singrauli, Umaria, Barwani, and Gwalior.
Based on the number of cases and by taking several factors into consideration such as incidence of cases, doubling rate, extent of testing, and surveillance feedback, the districts are designated as red, orange, and green zones.
Currently, there are 6 private laboratories and 13 government laboratories approved to test Real-Time PCR (RT PCR) tests.
There is only one private laboratory to test TrueNat tests of COVID-19 in Madhya Pradesh. The state 565 government and private facilities with 592 ventilators, 865 ICU beds, and 33,514 isolation beds as preparedness of government and quarantine facilities.
