Kochi: Measures have been taken to bring back eight teachers who were stranded in Lakshadweep. The teachers who had gone for exam duty at various islands were brought to Kavaratti. They will soon be taken to Kochi. Mathrubhumi News had reported on the stranded teachers earlier.

The teachers had gone for Class 10, 12 exam duty on March 8 to different islands in Lakshadweep and were stranded there after lockdown was imposed.
Two teachers who were in Kalpeni and Kadmat islands were taken to Kavaratti. Two teachers each are still stranded in Amini and Minicoy islands. They will be brought home soon after lockdown is lifted.
