Sabarimala darshan from next week through virtual queue

Thiruvananthapuram: Devotees will be allowed to enter Sabarimala through virtual queue from next week, said Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran. Only 50 people will be allowed to enter the temple at a time.

Thermal scanners will be set up at Pampa and Sannidhanam. Meanwhile, there will be no entry through Vandiperiyar. Sabarimala temple priests will be given exemption in COVID-19 age restrictions, the Minister said.

All devotees will be allowed to have darshan only adhering to coronavirus protocol. There will be no VIP darshan, he added.

Devotees from other states carrying certificates that they are not suffering from COVID-19 will also be allowed to have darshan.
