Cardiff City defender, Sean Morrison is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs according to a recent report from Wales Online.

It remains to be seen as to which clubs are interested in signing him, but he could be tempted by a return to the top-flight.

Morrison was a regular in the Cardiff squad last season, but was unable to stop them from being relegated back into the Championship after a brief spell in the Premier League.

He made 34 league appearances in total, and has seemingly made a good impression on other clubs that he has come up against throughout last season.

Morrison first moved to Cardiff back in 2014 from Reading, and played a starring role in their promotion to the Premier League, having captained them to a timely return to the Premier League.

It's likely to be an interesting summer ahead for Cardiff as they look to adjust to life back in the Championship, with potential player departures on the cards.

The report also claims that Nathaniel Mendez-Lang is also wanted by other clubs heading into the summer transfer window.

But Neil Warnock is said to be keen to retain their services next season, as they target an immediate return to the Premier League.

The Verdict:

I'm not surprised to see him attracting interest.

Morrison was impressive for Cardiff last season, and he'll certainly be a player that they will be hoping to keep ahead of next year's campaign in the Championship.

It'll be interesting to see whether this reported interest results in a formal bid being made by one of the Premier League clubs heading into the summer.
