SALT LAKE CITY -- A box truck was involved in a rollover crash Friday morning on State Road 201 at the junction with I-215.

Investigators say around 7 a.m., the box truck was westbound on SR 201 when for still unknown reasons it started veering off to the right and collided with another car that was merging onto SR 201 from I-215.

Shane Cowdell, with a Utah Department of Transportation Incident Management Team,  had his dash cam rolling as he pulled up to the scene of the crash.

He witnesses crashes almost every day, but not always in real time like he did Friday.

Cowdell has some tips for drivers.

"Right, wear your seat belt, make sure you get sleep, make sure you`re paying attention to what you`re doing because it`s not just your life, it`s everybody else`s as well," Cowdell said.

The woman driving the other car is named Ashley.

She didn`t want to do an on camera interview because she was suffering from some bumps and bruises and was still a little shaken up.

She told us this is the second time in a week she`s been involved in a major car crash and that she was driving a rental car today.

"I don`t really recall or remember the whole time," she said. "I was just turning onto the freeway and the next thing you know I was rolling like three or four times."

When asked if she was wearing a seat belt, she answered, "Yes I did seat belt all day."

Ashley added that neither crash was her fault, and that she was also upset because the pumpkin spice chai beverage she had just bought ended up all over her and the car she was driving.

Neither driver was injured.

The truck spilled about 30 gallons of diesel fuel onto the roadway.

Troopers say the driver of the box truck will be cited for causing this accident.
