Omaha metro, surrounding cities extend the curfew

Officials in the Omaha metro have extended its overnight curfews.

Sarpy County and the cities of Bellevue, Gretna, La Vista, Papillion, Bennington, and Springfield have declared states of emergency with a curfew from 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 1, to 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2.

The City of Ralston's curfew is also from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each day and will continue until further notice.

There is another curfew issued from the City of Council Bluffs.

It starts on June 1st at 8:00 p.m. until June 2nd at 5:00 a.m.

The curfew doesn't apply to people getting to and from work, seeking medical care, and etc.

Lincoln has extended its curfew as well.

Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird issued an Emergency Declaration that will at 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1st to 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2nd.

Similar to Council Bluffs, the curfew doesn't apply to people getting to and from work, seeking medical care, and seeking help from police.

Also, Bennington Nebraska is under a State of Local Emergency.

Mayor, Matt John, issued the emergency order on Monday, June 1st.

Bennington's curfew is from 8:00 p.m. on Monday to 6:00 am on Tuesday, May 2nd.

This emergency order also doesn't apply to people getting to and from work, seeking medical care, police, fire and medicial people, members of the media, people who are experiencing homelessness, and other authorization by the City of Bennington, the Nebraska State Patrol, or the Nebraska National Guard.
