OMAHA, Neb. (FOX42 KPTM) — Omaha police are looking into what lead up to a shooting in the Blackstone district Wednesday morning.
Police say someone in a truck pulled up to 38th and Farnam around 10:30 a.m.
They say a man and a woman were on the corner just outside of Bob's Donuts.
Officers say the two got into a heated argument with the person in the truck and that person fired a gun several times at the man and woman.
Investigators say neither of them were injured, but Xavier Gomez, 25, was hurt when he tried to run away.
A FOX 42 photojournalist saw a man speaking with police who had a bloody bandage on his leg.
They say Bob's Donuts had a bit of damage to the building.
Officers are still looking for the shooter. He is described as a man, thirty to forty years of age and five feet and eight to ten inches tall.
The shooter is also described as having dark brown hair and a beard with tattoos on his arms. He was wearing a black shirt and cargo shorts.
The shooter left in a black GM Duramax crew cab pickup with a noisy exhaust.
Gomez is a Union Omaha player.
