BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. — One person was injured in a crash just north of Columbus on I-65 Monday afternoon, according to Bartholomew County police.

Police said around 3 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 71.7 mile marker on northbound I-65 on the report of an accident with injury.

Around that time, INDOT reported that all northbound lanes on I-65 were closed. Lanes remained closed for about four hours, police said.

According to police, a semi travelling northbound left the road and struck a tree, pinning the driver inside of the cab.

The driver of the semi, Wilbur Jackson, 25, of Missouri had to be extracted from the semi by fire department personnel.

Police said Jackson was life-lined to a trauma center in Indianapolis, but his condition is unknown.
