SPRING VALLEY, Calif. — A child was rescued from a pool Saturday afternoon, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said.

A water rescue for a child was reported to the San Miguel Fire Department at around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, officials said.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the 3-year-old was rescued from an apartment complex pool and was taken to a hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the rescue and the child’s condition were unknown Saturday afternoon.
