Red flags!

They are symbols of danger.

An Operation: Crime & Justice investigation looks at whether Baltimore police missed obvious red flags and left guns in the hands of a person who posed a threat to himself or others.

Ricky Walker Jr. had three weapons within his reach on the night he was shot by officers.

Police found a loaded revolver in a pocket and an AK-47 rifle on the ground.

Weapons members of the Baltimore Police Department overlooked ten days earlier.

On the morning of July1st Ricky Walker was not in a good place.

He seemed agitated, confused, and he was cornered.

Officers tried to get Walker to calm down but Walker couldn't.

Family members warned he had not taken his meds doctors prescribed him ten days earlier.

Even Walker himself disclosed it.

But it was the unknown that would lead to Walker's injuries and these officers to be placed under investigation.

We discovered a call to police may have ended quite differently had an earlier call to police had a different outcome.
