Severe storms prompt flash flooding, water rescues in Baltimore region

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Heavy, slow-moving storms were causing flash flooding in the Baltimore area.

Evacuation sirens were sounded in Old Ellicott City, and flooding was seen in parts of Federal Hill and Howard County.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Baltimore City and County, as well as Anne Arundel County, until 9:15 p.m. A local flood warning was extended until 2 a.m. Thursday for Anne Arundel.




Baltimore's firefighters union is reporting multiple water rescues in South Baltimore and warned people to stay home.
