BALTIMORE (WBFF) - An incredible video shows a man on top of Baltimore's Howard Street bridge, near downtown, threatening to jump - but police were able to talk him down.

FOX45's Joy Lambert found that police credit their crisis intervention response team with the rescue.

The team was formed in 2017, allowing a licensed social worker to respond with law enforcement to a behavioral health crisis.

Since then, the team has been crucial in deescalating dangerous situations - including the latest video, showing them in action.

A recent study showed the community intervention response team is making a difference.
