Beto O’Rourke is in Reno and Carson City today for his second trip to the state since announcing his candidacy for President of the United States in March.

O'Rourke stopped by Bibo Coffee in Reno today to talk to young Democrats. He says,

I met people who are reducing gun violence, people who are focused on freeing dreamers form any fear of deportation. Others who are addressing student loan debt and make sure more people have a chance to go to University of Nevada.

His two-day visit to the Silver State will include events in Reno, Carson City, Henderson and Las Vegas.

During his speech at Gather Restaurant in Carson City, he made a point about President Trump and his immigration laws.

When we talk about fellow human beings like that. It doesn’t just offend our sensibilities it changes the very nature of this country of our practices and our policies. It’s how you get kids in cages and it’s how you see a rise in hate crimes.

Last month, O'Rourke made his first trip to Nevada for a two-day visit throughout the Las Vegas area.
