A "large" wildfire is stopping traffic Wednesday afternoon in both directions on Colorado's Interstate 70.

According to the Colorado State Patrol of Eagle, a "large" wildfire raging in the south canyon area just west of Glenwood Springs has forced parts of I-70 to close on Wednesday afternoon. The active closure extends from mile marker 109 to 114.

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, traffic is currently being stopped at Dotsero (exit 133). Several air resources on the scene, with the estimated time of reopening unknown.

Check CDOT’s Facebook, Twitter (@coloradodot) or cotrip.org for closures and delays on highways and roads across Colorado.
