SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 10, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Gang units are investigating after police responded to two separate shots-fired calls overnight on Saturday in Salt Lake City.

The first incident occurred in the area of 1135 W. Modesto Ave. at approximately 11 p.m., said a news release from the Salt Lake City Police Department.

“Police were called to the area on reports of shots being fired,” the news release said. “Officers located several shell casings in the street. An unoccupied vehicle had been struck twice by gunfire.”

No other objects or people had been struck.

The second incident occurred in the area of 950 W. 400 South just before 2:05 a.m. Sunday.
