Salt Lake City police searching for suspect who allegedly stole cellphones from store

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 23, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police are searching for a suspect who allegedly stole six cellphones from a Metro PCS  store.

The incident occurred Monday just before 7:55 p.m. at the store at 1625 W. 700 North, the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

The suspect threatened the clerk as he took the phones from the business, the news release said. The suspect then left the store and got into an older model maroon SUV. He was described as Polynesian, with long brown hair, a long beard and multiple tattoos.
