SETTING THE SCENE
• The victory over the Green Wave put Memphis back in the Amway Coaches Poll at No. 25. The Tigers are receiving the most votes outside the Top 25 of the AP Poll.
• This is the second time in four years that Memphis has started the season 6-1 under the direction of head coach Mike Norvell. Prior to the Oct. 12 lost to Temple, Memphis started 5-0 for the first time in Norvell's career.
• Redshirt freshman RB Kenneth Gainwell had a night to remember against the Green Wave, as he became the first player since 1997 to record 200 receiving yards and 100 rushing yards in the same game. No other Memphis Tiger had recorded 300 all-purpose yards from the line of scrimmage alone in a single game.
• Gainwell was named the American Athletic Conference co-Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts vs Tulane.
• QB Brady White became the fifth quarterback in program history to throw for over 5,000 yards in their career in the win over Tulane. TE Joey Magnifico also became the second tight end in program history to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards in their career after Saturday's win.
• White was named to the Davey O'Brien Great 8 and the Manning Award Stars of the Week lists.
• Tulsa fell to No. 21 Cincinnati on Oct. 19 by a score of 24-13. The Golden Hurricane were picked to finished sixth in the West Division of the American Athletic Conference.

THE MEMPHIS VS TULSA SERIES
Saturday marks the 30th all-time meeting between the Tigers and the Golden Hurricane. Memphis owns an 18-11 all-time advantage.
• The Tigers are 10-6 in games played at Tulsa, including a win in the last meeting on Nov. 3, 2017 by a score of 41-14.
• Memphis has won four out of the last five meetings against Tulsa.
• Two of Memphis' eight overtime games are against the Golden Hurricane. Both were played on the road.
• The Tigers look to win their third straight against Tulsa, which would match the longest winning streak against the Golden Hurricane.
• Tulsa is the only Division I program in the state of Oklahoma that Memphis has faced before. The only other opponent in Oklahoma in program history was against East Central Oklahoma in 1951. East Central Oklahoma was a member of the NAIA before joining NCAA Division II in 1997.

TIGERS EARN BOWL ELIGIBILITY FOR SIXTH CONSECUTIVE SEASON
• The Oct. 19 victory over Tulane granted Memphis bowl eligibility for the sixth consecutive season and 13th time in program history.
• Memphis has a 5-7 record in its bowl games all-time.
• The earliest in a season Memphis had clinched bowl eligibility was on Oct. 17, 2015 against Ole Miss. The Oct. 19 date is the second-earliest in a season that Memphis has become bowl eligible.
• The last bowl win for Memphis was a thrilling 55-48 double-OT victory over BYU in the 2015 Miami Beach Bowl.
• Entering 2019, Memphis had the second-longest active streak of bowl appearances in the AAC at five. Houston tops the AAC with six-consecutive bowl appearances, but has not clinched bowl eligibility yet this season.
