In line with the central government's plans for gradual restarting of various sectors during and after lockdown 4.0 beginning April 18, the state governments and Unitor Territories including UT of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu are taking the technology route to issue lockdown e-passes with more relaxations and in an easier way.

Over the last eight weeks of phased lockdown, the e-passes were issued only to government and private employees attending emergency services such as healthcare and essential foods in green and orange zones.

Although the Covid-19 pandemic is still on a rising curve across the country, the Centre is now allowing states and UTs to issue e-passes to people in various sectors on relaxed terms and conditions.

Interestingly, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu has not been affected by the coronavirus while the neighboring Gujarat is second from the top with 8,903 cases as of May 13.

While restrictions are still in force in Covid-19 red zones across the country, the UT of DNHDD is issuing e-passes to people who want to visit. Fill out a simple online form with demographic details, phone and vehicle numbers and an e-pass will be sent to your mobile phone after scrutiny.
