Indiana Basketball: 2019 four-star guard schedules official visit to Indiana

A day after landing a commitment from grad transfer Joey Brunk, another prospect schedules an official visit with the Indiana basketball program.

According to multiple reports, 2019 four-star guard Anthony Harris has scheduled an official visit to Indiana. The visit, which is set for the weekend of April 20, is a big step in the right direction for Indiana.

Over the weekend, Archie Miller was one of seven representatives from high-major programs to visit Harris, and ultimately made a big impact on the 2019 guard to secure a visit.

Ranked 66th in the country by 247Sports Composite rankings, Harris was originally recruited by Indiana before his Virginia Tech commitment. One of the main reasons Harris didn’t end up in Bloomington was because they were unable to secure an official visit, basically sealing their fate in his recruitment.

At 6-foot-3 and 180-pounds, Harris is a combo guard, known for his ability on the defensive end of the court, using his athleticism, length and anticipation to his advantage. A perfect fit for Archie Miller’s system, Harris would be a contributor immediately with his ability to defend and get out in transition.

Still a work in progress on the offensive end, if he is able to develop a consistent jump shot, something he is lacking now, Harris will be a very good two-way player.

It should be of note that even though Harris has an extremely long list of schools recruiting him, he hasn’t played a lot of basketball as of late, as he is still recovering from a torn acl he suffered in December.

With the recent developments of Devonte Green declaring for the draft, as well as four-star guard Harlond Beverly committing to Miami, Harris remains a high priority for Archie Miller and the Hoosiers.
