The Houston Astros are saying goodbye to eight players in 2019. The big question now is where these champions and Free Agent Class will end up.

When Dallas Keuchel rejected the qualifying offer the Houston Astros extended to him on November 2nd, it became clear that a big chunk of the 2017 World Champion team will be departing in 2019. This free agent class will be one for the history books of the franchise.

Granted, any eight of the players can still be re-signed by the organization. However, the prospect of that happening remains slim to nil. This presents many questions for the Astros heading into the offseason.

Among them, how will certain spots be filled? Can the team chemistry survive without this free agent class? And if so, exactly which players does the team go after. Clearly, GM Jeff Luhnow and owner Jim Crane will be able to get this squared away by Spring Training.

Nevertheless, nothing should be taken away from the contributions of the eight players that have now departed in some capacity. The future holds great things for all of them. But where exactly will said futures lead these players to?

To answer this question, I’ve broken down each player of the free agent class by their strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, I will also give my take as to which ball clubs are likely to land these champs. For efficiency sake, these are teams I believe they can go to IF the Astros don’t bring any of them back.

So let’s get started, shall we?
