Hiccups Teahouse and Restaurant, a California chain known for spicy wings, noodle dishes, and a plethora of tricked-out drinks, will open its doors in Westchase next spring.
It’s planning to debut in the Royal Oaks Shopping Center at 117000 Westheimer Road according to Chron. The expansion into Houston is part of a Texas-wide rollout for the chain, which will also open an outpost in Dallas early next year and another location in San Antonio. More locations are slated for Arizona and California.
The eatery serves up an assortment of Asian-inspired noodle and rice dishes like seafood fried rice and bulgogi beef with rice, alongside pad Thai, pad see ew, and mongolian noodles with chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu. Thai and Vietnamese soups are on offer, plus an assortment of wings and loaded fries. For drinks, there’s a long list of flavor-infused teas, milk teas spiked with boba, fruit-based slushies, milkshakes, and milk-based smoothies, alongside coffee and espresso. The shop will also house a smaller version of its sister concept Churroholics, which will serve giant loop-shaped churros dunked in chocolate and topped with sprinkles, crispy cereal, and more.
A representative for Hiccups Teahouse tells Eater that the Houston outpost is slated to open in April 2019. Stay tuned for an official opening date and hours of operation.
