Converse Opens Renew Pop-Up in London to Spotlight Sustainable Design
The new range of footwear is produced from recycled plastic bottles.
Following the announcement of its Renew Canvas collection, Converse is celebrating its commitment to sustainable design with a pop-up concept store in London. Located in the newly-developed Coal Drop’s Yard area of Kings Cross, the pop-up has been created from locally-sourced recycled materials and aims to be a space for both education and experimentation.
Converse has partnered with local artists and students to display their work within the space, with all the pieces focusing on utilizing plastic materials in engaging and innovative ways. As a bonus, visitors to the space will be able to get their hands on the eco-friendly shoes earlier than their general release date. The Renew pop-up will be open for one day only, Saturday June 29, between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. GMT. Get a sneak preview of the setup in the gallery above and don’t forget to view the full Renew Canvas collection too.
