Make-A-Wish Idaho’s virtual walk for wishes is happening Friday.

Jesse Baker of Boise is committed to helping the cause by pledging to walk one hour for every $100 he raises.

“Unfortunately, with the coronavirus and everything involved with that, we can't hold events as usual, but the need still exists to raise funds and grant wishes,” Baker said. “I just wanted to get a little creative this year and try to figure out a way that I could raise more than I probably usually would even in light of everything that's going on in the world.”

On Thursday night, Baker met his goal of $2,400, meaning he’ll be walking for 24 hours, an entire day straight.

The goal of the virtual walk is to have fun and to help grant wishes for children battling life-threatening illnesses.

The virtual walk is happening Friday evening. The event starts at 6 p.m. and the master of ceremonies will be CBS2’s own Sarah Jacobsen.

Make-A-Wish Idaho needs your help too. You can sign up for the virtual walk for wishes HERE or support Jesse Baker on his journey by donating HERE.
