MIDDLETON, Idaho (CBS 2) — Coleman Homes is responding to complaints from homeowners in Middleton’s West Highland’s subdivision.
The response comes after homeowners, including Lynn Rogers, complained that there is flooding in her crawlspace when it rains.
Rogers says she now monitors sump pumps in her home.
Six homeowners in the West Highlands subdivision told CBS 2 they have varying degrees of the same problem.
They say when it rains, water runs down from higher ground and pools in their yards.
We reached out to Coleman Homes on the phone and in person.
Coleman Homes sent us the following statement:
"We are disappointed to hear about the issues some homeowners in Toll Brothers’ West Highlands community claim to be experiencing with their home. The health and safety of our customers are of the utmost importance. Toll Brothers stands by its products and our Customer Care team has been diligently working with homeowners to appropriately address their concerns. We plan to continue to do so."
The homeowners we talked to say they’re stuck with thousands of dollars in repairs and clean-up costs over and above what Coleman Homes is willing to reimburse.
The homeowners say they've talked to an attorney but hope legal action can be avoided.
