MAGA girl the Idaho chapter took to Facebook Friday to announce their support to raise funds for a billboard ad to thank local law enforcement.

This comes after a controversial billboard in Boise was put up along the connector and subsequently taken down less than 24 hours later. The message on the billboard read, "Black and Brown folks built this country -- and we're doing it again -- join us or get out of the way!" It also featured a picture of the state capitol and a police car on fire.

In the Facebook post, MAGA girl says that a local group has started a fundraiser to buy billboard space that will allow the community to show support for local police. Their hope is to raise enough funds through Facebook and by donations made through ICCU to secure billboard space for a three month period.

“Let’s show our law enforcement some community love by donating to the cause,” the post read.

The organizers of the new billboard say they’ll be purchasing the ad space through Canyon Outdoor Media and they hope to have their message up by Sept. 19 which is national ‘thank a police officer day.’
