BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — Scarves hang from the trees at Ann Morrison Park in Boise with the message, "Changing lives one skein at a time. Donated by South Boise Women's Correctional Center."
A skein is a length of thread or yarn, loosely coiled and knotted.
A viewer sent in a few photos to CBS 2 this afternoon, and we had to check it out for ourselves.
It would appear the SBWCC has been knitting or crocheting scarves for the homeless in Boise.
The SBWCC is a treatment and transition facility for female inmates. The facility is located in Kuna and can host 306 inmates.
