Northwest flow remains in place over Idaho Friday morning, however, high pressure will move in this weekend. Daytime highs will remain near or slightly below normal today. Temperatures will be in the upper 80's and low 90's for the Treasure Valley and the mid to upper 70s for the mountains.

For the weekend, another round of sizzling hot temperatures is in store for the region as a strong ridge of high pressure builds over the western states. High pressure will usher in southwest flow allowing hot and dry air to move up from the desert southwest. Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid to upper 90's on Saturday, into the triple-digits on Sunday. Daytime highs should be near record highs for this time of year across southwest Idaho early next week. Some cloud cover could mix in with sunshine as well.

Triple-digit heat will likely remain through Wednesday before we drop back down into the upper 90's. Temperatures will still be hot but slightly more tolerable by the end of next week. Stay tuned!
