Samuel L. Jackson Is 'Fury'ous Over A Misplaced Eyepatch In the Latest Spider-Man: Far From Home Poster

Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man definitely started the Marvel Cinematic Universe's journey that is going on and on and is showing no such signs of slowing down. But it was Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury that gave Tony Stark (and us, in the process) an idea of the franchise's expansive nature. And all these years later, someone has messed up this harbinger-of-badassery's most iconic aspect: his eye-patch!

Jackson, like every character he has played on-screen in his career, has portrayed Fury with all his heart and talent. And his character's eye-patch was joked about in Avengers by Tony Stark (who said that it's exhausting to navigate a ship while wearing an eye-patch). But it was Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain Marvel that made it a major plot-point and even explained how he damaged his left eye (FYI it was a Flerken).

That's why, it's hard to confuse how he uses the eye-patch. But one graphic designer made the grave mistake of putting Fury's eye-patch on the wrong eye in a Spider-Man: Far From Home poster! And, unfortunately, Samuel L. Jackson noticed it and went absolutely ballistic.

As mentioned before, Jackson has played the character for over a decade. So, it's not like he went for the photo-shoot for that particular poster with the eye-patch on the wrong eye. However, apparently, the designer has lazily flipped his image for the poster and that's why it looks like Fury is wearing the eye-patch incorrectly.

Fans didn't mind this continuity error as they were laughing at Jackson's over-the-top reaction to this mistake in the Spider-Man: Far From Home poster.

Now, although nobody is quite talking about a theory because it may be completely false, I believe that the Spider-Man: Far From Home poster designer is hinting at the existence of a Skrull posing as Nick Fury. You know, those shape-shifting creatures that were the highlight of Captain Marvel? Maybe one of them stayed back and decided to live as Nick Fury, because, be honest, if you got to live as Fury, wouldn't you? Or you can believe in the more boring explanation: it's simply a boo boo by Marvel.
