Himachal Pradesh : 27th State Level Children Science Congress-2019

 

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Council for Science, Technology & Environment (HIMCOSTE) is organizing 27th State level Children Science Congress at Govt. (Girls) Sr. Sec. School Bilaspur Distt. Bilaspur from. 13th to 16th November, 2019 in collaboration with Department of Education, Himachal Pradesh and Rashtriya Vigyan Evam Prodyogiki Sanchar Parishad and Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India, New Delhi.

Event will be inaugurated by Rajeshwar Goel, D.C Bilaspur on the occasion Dr. Jayanta Sarma, Member of National Academic Committee (NAC), Sh. Sudershan Kumar, Deputy Director of Elementary Education, Bilaspur and Ashish Kohli, SPD, SSA/RMSA, Shimla would grace the occasion. On behalf of HIMCOSTE Sh. Sunny Sharma, Joint Member Secretary would remain present during the event.

The focal theme of the Children’s Science Congress-2019 is “Science, Technology & Innovation for a Clean, Green and Healthy Nation”. In four days programme a number of competitions like Scientific Project Report, Science Quiz, Activity Corner, Scientific Skit & Play, Mathematical Olympiad and Science Models would be organized during Congress. More than 700 students and teachers from all over the State are coming to participate during these four days .The main attraction of 27th H.P. CSC-2019 would be the exhibition by Augstaya International Foundation, Banglore and Centre for Science and Environment (CSE).

The Training on the scientific modals would be impacted by the team form Augstya International Foundation, Banglore to 100 students from Distt. Bilaspur and 50 Students of District Shimla would display models on “Renewable Energy (solar roof) & Solid Waste Management” which were trained in the month of September by Centre for Science and Environment (CSE).

On the occasion Universities and other government department agencies will display scientific innovations and developments in about 20 stalls for the benefit of participating students and teachers during the State Level Children Science Congress.

HIMCOSTE has planned to organize the Planetarium Show & Night Sky Watching to the Students participants for all over the state. Resource persons/ scientists from National level organizations, representatives from Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and are going to participate in the programme.

A contingent of 16 students getting first position in scientific project report would participate in National Level Children Science Congress at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala during 27-31, December, 2019.
