About the Role
This is a crucial role in Highway Network Management, responsible for the strategic delivery of Highway services across all four local district areas in Lincolnshire. The role will oversee the provision of Highways functions countywide, ensuring that local managers and their teams deliver consistent and cohesive services, with strong focus on customer needs and engagement.
The postholder will manage and develop relationships with key stakeholders to ensure collaboration and efficiency. Through co-ordination with other service areas, the successful candidate will look at the bigger picture, determining clear aims & objectives to assess and mitigate risks and maximise outcomes.
You will champion the needs of the customer, delivering a holistic service that makes the best use of available resources in a creative and sustainable way. Candidates should recognise the challenges associated with a large and diverse Highway network, and will balance the requirements of quality assurance, performance management and staff development to create a conscientious culture of proactive, future-focused service delivery that is accountable and engaging to our customers.

We are seeking a highly motivated leader and an excellent communicator, who has a proven ability to build relationships and trust, leading by example. You should be able to identify and adopt good practices across the organisation to innovatively support a high performing and flexible workforce.
You should have excellent technical knowledge and be driven by data & evidence to manage and improve performance. With a passion for customer care, brilliant communicational skills and an understanding of issues affecting Highway Network, you will be able to play a key role in the delivery of essential services in Lincolnshire.
