Bhubaneswar: While discontentment continues to prevail among workers and leaders of BJD and Congress over denial of tickets, BJP workers last night sat on a dharna in front of the party’s State headquarters over non-selection of Amiya Dash for Ekamra-Bhubaneswar Assembly seat.
The protest which continued into the morning today witnessed the supporters of Dash, resorting to sloganeering against Babu Singh, who was chosen over him. They also opposed the BJP leader Sameer Mohanty for the discrepancy.
Notably, Babu had left BJD to join the saffron party along with his supporters a few days back.
Dash who happens to be a popular leader of BJP from Ekamra-Bhubaneswar Assembly constituency had been defeated in 2014 poll.
