Bhubaneswar: The Quick Action Team (QAT) of the Commissionerate police along with the Khandagiri Police arrested three persons after recovering ganja from their possession this afternoon.
According to reports, the QAT and Khandagiri Police, acting on a tip-off, jointly waylaid a Bhubaneswar-bound Chevrolet car (OD 02 AB 5782) at the National Highway near Aiginia. While inspecting the car, the cops recovered ganja weighing about 28 kg from the vehicle following which they arrested the three persons who were in the car.
Police identified the arrested person as Kareem Ullah (34) of Info City area (he is the owner of the car), Sk Muziboor (35) of Maszid Colony in Kharbela Nagar and Sangram Keshari Behera (27) of Unit VI area of the city.
The cops also recovered Rs 10,500 and three cell phones from their possession.
Meanwhile, on the written report of Sub-Inspector Gobardhan Sahu, a case has been registered against the accused. Sub-Inspector Gangadhar Panigrahi is investigating the case.
