TROUTDALE, Ore. – An Amazon worker at a facility in Troutdale has tested positive for coronavirus, a company spokesperson confirmed Monday.
The company said the employee is recovering and that they are taking “extreme measures” to make sure its other employees are safe.
The 855,000-square-foot, so-called “PDX9” facility will remain open for business.
Amazon spokesperson Rachael Lightly said they will offer employees face masks, disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, as well as other safety measures like, “implementing temperature checks, operating with strict social distancing protocols, and recognizing their contributions with additional pay and leading benefits.” More from Amazon.
