Mt. Angel Public Works repairs water main break on South Main Street

MT. ANGEL, Ore. – Mt. Angel Public Works is repairing a water main break on South Main Street Tuesday morning.

The Mt. Angel Police Department says water has been turned off to the immediate area. They aren’t sure how long it will be shut off.

Mt. Angel Public Works says the water line broke again in the same area as the break that occurred Monday.

Police say traffic lanes may close for construction to repair the water main in the area.

Residents have reported discolored water and city officials want customers to know there’s no health threat at this time.

The city will inform residents as soon as water service is restored.
