PORTLAND, Ore. — One person has been arrested in connection with a fire that was intentionally set during last week's riots in Portland, police say.
On May 30 at around 1 a.m., a fire was reported on the 800 block of SW 6th Avenue. Portland Fire & Rescue extinguished the fire, which was later determined to have been intentionally set.
Authorities say they received tips regarding the fire and a participant's interest in harming police officers.
Amelia Joan Shamrowicz, 25, was arrested on May 31 and charged with arson, riot and criminal mischief.

Detectives say they are continuing to investigate crimes committed during the demonstrations in the Portland.
