The remnants of Hurricane Barry continue to bring substantial rainfall to Arkansas.

The most rain since the storm entered the state has been in eastern Arkansas, as expected. As of 10 a.m. Monday, Monticello had received an estimated 4.2 inches of rain. There had been 3.86 inches of rain in Stuttgart and 3.14 inches in Searcy.

Lower rainfall amounts were seen in Jonesboro, where 2.52 inches were estimated.

Little Rock had 2.04 inches of rain and Hot Springs had less than a half-inch.

Portions of central Arkansas and eastern Arkansas remained under a flash flood watch Monday. Areas of rain will develop Monday into Tuesday and some rainfall could be heavy.

By late Tuesday, the remnants of Barry will move out of the state. Hot and humid conditions should return starting Wednesday.
