LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — Gryphon Stadium, a green and purple palace of a venue nestled behind the first public high school to be built in Little Rock in more than half a century, is nearing its completion.
"I bet you we've had 50 people come by and they're like, 'the Little Rock School District did this?'" head coach Daryl Patton said with a smile. After previous success at Fayetteville and Bauxite, Patton was hired to start the program from scratch, merging student populations from McClellan and Fair.

The facility features luxury suites, a true press box, a well-appointed field house and the largest jumbo-tron in the state, outside of Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville and Centennial Bank Stadium in Jonesboro.
