FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – Last week’s snow storm will prolong the flooding in the Red River Valley as the melting snow will run off into already flooded rivers.
Most of the rivers in eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota have already crested or are near crest but are expected to see a second crest but not as high as the first.
The Red River in Fargo-Moorhead peaked last week at 35 feet and has been dropping but the National Weather Service say it will crest again toward the end of the week at 32 feet.
The Weather Service says rain expected this week could also also affect the southern Red River Valley.
